The story of Coasso

An idea from a first-year master's student

Coasso started from something I noticed during my first year of master's studies: associations, which keep sport, culture and solidarity alive all over France, still too often manage their members with spreadsheets, paper and bank transfers to reconcile by hand.

I began building Coasso for a course project. Then I told myself it was a very good idea, one to keep working on and to release so that associations could make the most of it.

Saving volunteers time

Running an association is complicated, and not every volunteer is comfortable with computers, or with collecting documents and payments. They spend whole evenings on it, instead of on their project.

Saving them time is Coasso's first goal. What began as a student's idea has become, after a year and a half of work, a complete platform:

• Coasso Pro for club managers and teams: members, activities, registrations, payments, emails;
• Coasso for members and families: find a club nearby, sign up, pay and follow their activities.

And, later, visibility

Once Coasso has enough users, it will also give associations visibility: families will be able to find and join them more easily.

Our conviction

An association should be as easy to run as booking a train ticket, without giving up the security or the privacy of its members. The funds always stay in the club's account, and all data stays under its control.
